“It was a beautiful day with wall to wall sunshine, though a tad on the warm side for running.  As ever, Les and his team did an excellent job organising this enjoyable race in The Cheviot Hills.  8 grassy miles and 2,500 ft of climbing – all off road – make this race a pleasure to run.  There were 4 NFRs there.  Emma Bain was first lady.  I led the chaps home, followed by Mark Latham and Will Lawrence.   Saltwell were represented by Keith Wood and Jim Thompson amongst others.  Other local runners with whom it was good to catch up after the race included Adam Fletcher (Alnwick) and Keith Murray (Teviotdale).” – John Duff
