The November headtorch run was the biggest yet with 25 runners coming
from all across the region, with the effort typified by Scott Gibson
who made a round trip of 20 miles on his (single-speed) bike to get
there. Unfortunately we lost four of our group quite early on but we
heard that they went for a good run anyway and we found three of them
propping up the bar later. The run was about 5 or 6 miles over Chester
Moor and Waldridge Fell with a few short steep climbs, and it took
about 80 minutes. About a dozen or so stayed for food and beer in the
Chester Moor Inn afterwards.
December's run will be an early morning
yomp up Helvellyn to co-incide with the Wansfell Fell Race - details
to follow soon!
