The first of Will's summer training runs was on Thursday 27th May, called the Three Counties Run as it started in Cumbria, crossed briefly into Durham, ran a little loop into Northumberland and back into Cumbria. The run started in Nenthead and after a short steep climb it was good running across Killhope Head to Killhope Law. At this point a cold wind came in as well as some drizzle. We took a direct line to the road north in Allendale whereupon we turned back to Nenthead via Issac's Tea Trail and Gudham Gil. Total 8.5 miles in 1h 45 over some rough ground at times at a leisurely pace with frequent rests. We were six (four DFR and one unattached, including a 69 year old!) plus Casper, of course. Great fun. Next up Bewick Moor (near Wooler) on Weds 9th June.
