About thirty runners from across the region came to Will's head torch run last night. Clubs represented included NFR, DFR, Elvet Striders, Low Fell and Blackhill Bounders. The route went up Coppy Lane and then underneath Causey Arch, then along the north bank of Causey Gill to Tanfield Lea nature reserve. A quick run round there with a few shimmies through the trees, back along the south bank of Causey Gill to the top of the arch and back to the pub via Coppy Lane. Great selection of beer in the Stables afterwards, but alas no Coppy Lane stout at the moment. The substitute Bell Tower did just fine though. Next up - Stanhope Common on 25th November.
