Dear All

You will be pleased to know that Peter Moralee successfully completed the Joss Naylor Challenge (Pooley Bridge to Wastwater) on Saturday in a time of 13 hours 58 minutes (Peter's target time had been sub 15 hours). As far as I know Peter is the first NFR member to successfully complete this great Lakeland challenge

Peter's excellent time and performance was achieved on a less than perfect day with minimal support on the fells (Paul Appleby on legs 1 & 2, Allon Welsh and me leg 3 & Peter Reed Leg 4). Peter's family were out in force to provide sustenance and comfort at road crossings & Sty Head (helped by Richard Cavner) and to celebrate at the Horse & Farrier in Threlkeld on Sunday lunch time. Joss himself was there to cheer Peter in at the end.
