For the first time in three years it was a lovely sunny day in the Howgills. No rain or mist, perfect conditions for running the hills. NFR was represented by Paul Appleby, Will Horsley and myself. I always find navigation a problem in this race, the hills all look the same. At least this year I did not visit the bottom of Black Force. However, I did go over the summit of Hazelgill Knott instead of traversing round and over the col. The long trail up the Calf was also tough with a strong headwind to finish the race. Anyway I think most of the 169 competitors enjoyed the race and lazed in the sun at the finish.
