Lawrence wins the race
A small but hardy crowd of fell runners turned out for this low key and excellently organised race. The route over 3.3 miles took in some proper open fell and was boggy underfoot in places. The race was won for the second year in a row by Lawrence Johnson followed by Martin Crowe of Elswick in second. Lawrences daughter Tara was first woman home. There was a junior race of 1 mile which had a healthy turn out of youngsters.
